Sustainable development practices in Tirana area SME’s

The project aimed to undertake a study regarding the SMEs in the area of Tirana explaining the main practices which these businesses apply for sustainable development and drafting solutions for the improvement of their activities in accordance with the EU standards.

The main purpose of the project was to present SMEs operating in the Tirana City area with the principles of the “socially responsible corporate” model of development and help them in their application.

From SME businesses are expected to perform their daily activities and generate more profits by adopting sustainable development strategies by balancing the goals of economic, social, and environmental development. This approach has led large companies to work for a model of responsible and sustainable development called “corporate social responsibility” for rating businesses not only for their economic success but also for non-economic, such as social and environmental success.
